V-Barrier is a light-curable resin material developed to provide temporary protection to gingival tissues during dental procedures. It is applied along the gingival margin to create a protective seal that helps prevent contact between soft tissues and dental materials, particularly tooth-whitening agents.

The material is supplied in convenient syringes for controlled dispensing and accurate application. Once positioned, it is polymerised using a dental curing light to form a protective barrier. After completion of the procedure, the cured material can be lifted away using an appropriate dental instrument.

Its composition includes urethane-based acrylate, pigments and fillers, according to the manufacturer’s product information.

Directions for Use

1. Place suitable lip and cheek retractors to expose the treatment area.
2. Clean the teeth and gingival area.
3. Rinse and gently air-dry the application area.
4. Attach the supplied applicator tip to the syringe.
5. Apply the resin along the gingival margin, creating a continuous protective barrier.
6. Build the barrier approximately 1.5–2 mm thick and extend it over the gingival tissue as directed by the manufacturer.
7. Light-cure the material using a suitable dental curing light.
8. After completing the dental procedure, remove the cured barrier carefully using an appropriate dental instrument.
